🔔 Update — April 2026: RCMC filing on the DGFT e-RCMC platform is now the standard route. DGFT processes all new applications, amendments, and renewals through its online module. Paper-based filings are effectively retired. All Export Promotion Councils are onboarded.
Under FTP 2023, RCMC is mandatory to claim any export benefit including RoDTEP, Duty Drawback, and EPCG. The certificate is valid for five years from the date of issue. To apply, log in to dgft.gov.in with IEC credentials and Class 3 DSC, then navigate to Services, eRCMC, and Apply.
Common EPCs include FIEO, EEPC, AEPC (apparel), Pharmexcil (pharma), Chemexcil (chemicals), and CLE (leather).

* DGFT introduced an electronic platform to facilitate electronic issuance / renewal / amendment of Registration Cum Membership Certificate (RCMC) / Registration Certificate (RC). The objective of the platform is to provide an electronic, contact-less single window for RCMC / RC-related processes.
* The exporters are mandated to file Registration Cum Membership Certificate (RCMC)/ Registration Certificate (RC) applications (for issue/renewal/amendment) through the common digital portal of e-RCMC Platform with effect from 01-04-2022.
* The prevailing procedure of submitting applications directly to the designated Registering Authorities will continue only till 31-03-2022.
* All Registering Authorities as notified under Appendix-2T are requested to ensure that they are on-boarded on the e-RCMC portal before 31-03-2022.
* Registering Authorities, who have already on-boarded are advised to adopt the e-RCMC platform as a single point for handling RCMC related processes. And are also advised to conduct outreaches & issue suitable advisories to the members / exporters to use the e-RCMC platform before the stated timelines.
