Freight Advisory and Export Logistics Services

Freight Advisory for Indian Exporters: Sea, Air, and Multimodal

Freight cost is often the second-largest line item in an export shipment after the product cost itself. Getting it wrong means either overpaying and killing your margin, or underpaying and getting unreliable transit that damages your buyer relationship. Rasp International provides freight advisory services that help Indian exporters find the right balance between cost, speed, and reliability.

Ocean Freight

Ocean freight covers the vast majority of Indian exports by volume. We advise on FCL (Full Container Load) vs LCL (Less than Container Load) decisions based on your cargo volume, value, and urgency. FCL gives you complete control over container handling and timing. LCL is cost-effective for smaller quantities but adds transit time at the consolidation warehouse. We negotiate rates with major shipping lines including Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, and ONE for routes covering the Middle East, Europe, USA, East Africa, and Southeast Asia.

Air Freight

Air freight is critical for high-value, time-sensitive, or perishable exports. Pharma shipments, electronics, fashion goods, and urgent sample consignments typically move by air. We coordinate with cargo terminals at Delhi IGI, Mumbai CSIA, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. Air freight rates fluctuate weekly, so timing your booking matters. We track rate trends and advise when to book for best pricing.

Multimodal and Inland Transport

Many Indian exporters ship from landlocked locations. Getting cargo from your factory in Agra, Jaipur, Ludhiana, or Kanpur to a gateway port requires inland transport coordination. We plan multimodal routes combining road trailers to ICD, rail to port, and vessel booking. This end-to-end planning prevents the common problem of cargo arriving at port after the vessel cutoff. Freight Documentation

Freight involves its own documentation: Bill of Lading (for sea), Airway Bill (for air), freight invoices, container tracking numbers, and insurance certificates. Errors in the Bill of Lading such as wrong consignee, wrong port of discharge, or missing notify party can result in cargo being held at the destination. We review all freight documents before issuance.

How We Work

We do not operate our own fleet or vessels. We work as your independent freight advisor, comparing rates from multiple carriers and forwarders to get you the best deal. This independence means our recommendations are always in your interest, not tied to any single carrier contract. Full logistics services | Get a freight quote.
