We obtain your Import Export Code from the DGFT, filed correctly the first time. Most returned applications fail on documentation consistency, not on eligibility. We check that before anything is submitted.
What we do
- Pre check of PAN, Aadhaar, GST and bank records for the mismatches that cause rejections
- Confirmation that PAN and Aadhaar are linked before we choose an authentication route
- Guidance on the correct banking proof, pre printed cancelled cheque or bank certificate in the prescribed format
- Branch address entry in the serial order shown on your GST certificate
- Filing on the DGFT portal via Aadhaar OTP or Class 3 Digital Signature
- Handover with your IEC and a note on your first annual updation window
Timeline
24 hours from receipt of complete documentation. Where documents are incomplete or inconsistent, the clock starts once the corrected set is with us. We tell you what is missing on day one rather than at the end.
How it starts
We call you within one working day to confirm entity type, documentation and the authentication route before any filing begins.
Common questions
Why do IEC applications get rejected when the business is clearly eligible?
Almost never on eligibility. The common cause is inconsistency across PAN, Aadhaar, GST and bank records. A name spelled differently on the bank record than on the PAN, an address entered in a different order than the GST certificate shows, or a PAN not linked to Aadhaar. We check all of it before anything is submitted.
My PAN and Aadhaar are not linked. Can I still apply?
Not through the Aadhaar OTP route, which is blocked entirely until they are linked. The alternative is authentication with a Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate. If you have neither, linking PAN and Aadhaar is usually the faster path.
Can I submit a handwritten cancelled cheque?
No. Handwritten cheques are rejected. You need a pre printed cancelled cheque showing the account holder name, or where that is not available, a bank certificate in the prescribed format. When a filing is urgent the bank certificate is often quicker to obtain than a reprinted chequebook.
Does the name on my bank account have to match exactly?
Yes, and the matching is case sensitive. The account name must match the official firm name as it appears on your registration documents. Small differences that look harmless are a frequent cause of returned applications.
Is the IEC permanent once issued?
The code itself does not expire, but it must be updated every year between 1 April and 30 June. Confirmation is free where nothing has changed and there is a fee of Rs 200 for a modification. An IEC that is not updated in that window gets deactivated, which stops your shipments.
What does the 24 hour timeline actually mean?
24 hours from the point we hold a complete and consistent document set. If something is missing or inconsistent we tell you on day one, not at the end. Government processing after submission sits outside our control.
